SYFI ID

This video was created as part of "Animation Techniques" course provided at Ringling College of Art and Design in the Motion Design department.

The challenge for this assignment was to create an Identity (ID or Ident) package for the SYFY network. The final "product" is a collection of different, 15 second animations created in Stop Motion Animation. The IDs are to be viewed as a series of quick stories that entice the viewer to stay tuned to the SYFY channel, because they never know what to expect and to be whimsical, funny, humorous, clever, and creative. The objective of this project is to establish SYFY as the destination for all things imaginative, creative, and unexpected. They are to feel lo-tech by using silhouette cut-out animation. The target demographic is 18 – 25 year old males and females.
